Description

The World’s Most Visited Theme Park:

The Disney Magic Kingdom was inaugurated in 1971. Based in Bay Lake, Florida, this park pays a tribute to all Disney fairy tales and the associated characters. In the year 2015, the park received 20.49 million visitors, this made it the world’s most visited theme park. While the sands of time ran out, the rapidly developing technology and changing social conventions has rendered a lot of amusement parks outdated and caused people to lose interest, but the Magic Kingdom has retained its grandeur. Inaugurated in 1971, it has excelled in terms of drawing visitors far more than any other amusement parks, and still stands tall with its recognition as of a king amongst amusement parks. Though a lot of other parks have changed and reinvented themselves; adapted to the changing technology to rope in more visitors, the Magic Kingdom has maintained the same old novel vision based on which it first opened. To an experienced visitor, a trip to the Magic Kingdom is like paying a visit to an old friend and reminiscing old memories, whereas a first timer helplessly surrenders to his teeming childhood instincts and enjoys his time in the park, completely jinxed. The Magic Kingdom is split up into five lands- Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Liberty Square and Adventureland. And each of these sacred lands has got its own attraction.

Pirates of the Caribbean:

Its is a boat ride that happens to be one of the major boat rides in the Magic Kingdom. It features attractions such as Animatronic-audio pirates (Captain Jack Sparrow being one of them) that engage in daring adventures. Apart from the bounty of characters that this ride features, great details have been employed to make it most realistic. This ride is fun for people of all ages, though the explosive sounds might frighten young children.

After one’s time in the oceans, it’s time to check out the universe above. The Space Mountain ride is a very fast roller-coaster ride that has a theme of outer space. To further improve the experience, there is a blast-off tunnel, accompanied by dark music. Then the roller coaster moves at its peak speed of 28 miles per hour and goes past shooting stars and glowing planets.  Then comes the darker corner in the happiest place in earth, the Haunted Mansion. It is a slow moving train ride on a ‘Doom Buggy’. With clever use of stagecraft, audio-animatronics, and other props, various illusions are created. Though the ghosts that haunt the mansion are all brisk and singing songs, the ride is still dark and exciting. One thing a person shouldn’t miss is the Main Street Electrical Parade. It is a light parade that takes place during the night goes a long way back, and is regarded as a Magic Kingdom classic. It is a pleasantly orchestrated light show, accompanied by dancers and all the favorite childhood Disney characters that are riding on floats or being floats themselves. And finally a day as eventful as a visit to the Disneyland Magic Kingdom requires a closing with a proper fanfare of loud excitements. From Main Street, fireworks can be seen exploding behind the Cinderella Castle. It is something that is not worth missing.
