Is there any arrangement at Islands of Adventure for parents to take care of infants and toddlers?

Port of Entry has Care Station and Family Service Area where changing stations, private breast feeding section, and bathrooms are available.

What if a child gets lost at Island of Adventure?

If the lost child seeks out a park attendant then he will look for the child’s parents in the immediate area and if the parents are not found there then the child is brought to the Lost Children area at Port of Entry.

Is Islands of Adventure a non-smoking park?

Yes. Both the theme parks Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando Resort are non-smoking area with the exception of assigned smoking areas throughout the parks, which are marked on the maps in the parks.

What kind of tickets should be purchased in order to enjoy the event A Celebration of Harry Potter?

This event is three day weekend long which takes place in both the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida at Universal Orlando Resort. To enjoy the full experience of the event, it is suggested that you buy the multiday park-to-park admission ticket or an Annual Pass (which also gives access to Hogwarts Express and others).

Who can attend the Grad Bash event?

The Grad Bash event is exclusive to graduating students and their chaperones. If the high school authorities permit, then the graduating seniors can bring dates too.

What is the operating hour of the park?

The park opens at 9am and the closing time is at 6 pm during off-peak season. During peak season and events the closing time varies.

Is there internet available in the park?

Yes.

Do I have to purchase a ticket for my three year old?

No. Entry is free for children up to three years of age.

Description

Universal’s Island of Adventure is the second theme park at Universal Orlando Resort, after Universal Studios Florida. The Island of Adventure Preview center was opened in Universal Studios Florida to give the public a sneak peek to the new theme park. The island of Adventure had a soft opening first and the official grand opening took place on 28th May, 1999.

Currently it consists of eight islands:-

  • The Port of Entry
  • The Seuss Landing
  • Toon Lagoon
  • Jurassic Park
  • The Lost Continent
  • Marvel Superhero Island
  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
  • Skull Island: Reign of Kong

The Port of Entry:

It is the main entrance to the park and it houses several shops and restaurant but there are no rides here. The iconic Pharos Lighthouse here marks the entry point and its light beams lead visitors to the park.

The Seuss Landing:

It is aimed at a younger crowd as it embodies the places and characters featured in the books by Dr. Seuss. The rides here include “The Cat in the Hat”, “The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride”, “One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish”, etc.

Toon Lagoon:

Toon Lagoon is a water ride based area designed around characters of Jay Ward and King Features Syndicate. Some of the features rides here include “Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls”, “Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges”, etc.

Jurassic Park:

It’s area is based on the film Jurassic Park, with discovery based exhibits and thrill rides. Some of the attractions here include “Jurassic Park River Adventure”, “Triceratops Discovery Trail”, “Pteranodon Flyers”, and “Camp Jurassic”.

The Lost Continent:

It has themes that encapsulates legends and myths featuring ancient Arabian and the Lost Greek City of Atlantis.

The Marvel Superhero Island:

The Marvel Superhero Island has the Marvel comic book feel all around the place and some of the most popular rides include “The Hulk Roller Coaster”, “The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man”, “Doctor Doom’s Fearfall”, etc.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter:

It is themed around the Harry Potter franchise and is a must see for all the fans. It features places like “Hogwarts Castle”, “Hogsmeade Village”, and the “Forbidden Forest”. Some of the main attractions here include “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey”, the “Dragon Challenge”, “Flight of the Hippogriff”, “Hogwarts Express”, “Ollivanders wand shop”, etc.

Skull Island: Reign of Kong:

Reign of Kong is a new island opening this year marking the return of King Kong to the park.
