Description

Cocoa Beach is well known for its crystal clear water and a bustling number of tourists that visit it every day. This beach city earns a large amount of revenue from tourism, but to tell the truth, most of this success wouldn’t have been possible without Cocoa Beach’s very own Aquatic Center and Pool Complex. This place is everything a swimming lover can ask for. Then again, with a 50-meter pool, no one can really resist coming here at least once in their life. Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center claims its fame with its signature Pool Complex, which is among the largest in the world when it comes to community pools. In fact, this pool has been called ‘Olympic-sized’, since it fits the criteria of an Olympic swimming pool. Don’t be surprised if you come across international athletes training here. This place has been known to be frequented by professional swimmers who relish in practicing backstrokes and knots in this giant watery haven. Moreover, the pool is heated in winter and cooled in summer, so temperature fluctuation is never a worry here. This makes it friendlier for kids and senior citizens to frolic in the water.

Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center is filled with loads of fun options to explore. There is an open air pavilion which features volleyball games, something any tourist is encouraged to join. It also hosts various poolside events and public gatherings, perfect for tourists coming in large groups. The public bathhouse is for cleaning oneself after a fun day, and the playground is for any kids looking to play amongst themselves. The children’s pool, specifically, ranges from 1 to 3 feet for maximum safety precautions. If you are tired of playing in the water, dry up and visit the adjacent golf course. Other attractions that reside here are a jumbo water slide, diving boards of 1 to 2 meters in height, and the Water Spray Park; which is connected to the main center and is filled with various water-based attractions and rides. There is always something to do at the Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center and Pool Complex.

Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center isn’t just a place where you can have fun, it’s a place for learning better swimming too. There are normal swimming lessons available only during the summer, which are for anyone above 3 years of age. Called the Jeff Ellis Swimming class, the students there are taught to reduce drowning risk and informed with regulations regarding public swimming. Their approach is quite friendly thus is always recommended. There are also special swimming classes for tsunami and coast security, so the constant emphasis on safety is easily noticed. Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center ensures that you are having fun with zero risks for you and everyone around you.
